Nosal is the rocky, tree covered hill rising above the road that leads out towards Kuźnice, and it has a reputation among locals as one of the best value climbs in the whole area. The path up is short in distance but genuinely steep in places, winding through forest before breaking out onto open rock near the top, and it demands proper shoes and a bit of stamina despite how quick it looks on a map. The reward at the summit is a wide view back over Zakopane spread out below, with the high peaks of the Tatras rising sharply behind the town in the other direction, a combination that photographers in particular tend to love.
