Setting off from Kraków
You are leaving a city of kings and heading for a town of shepherds. It is a little over a hundred kilometres, and the landscape changes completely along the way. First the flat river plain around Kraków, then rolling wooded hills, then the mountains themselves. Settle in and get comfortable. Your guide will nudge you whenever there is something outside the window worth lifting your eyes for.

As the city ends, watch how quickly the apartment blocks give way to fields and orchards.
